FATHERS do this as much as mothers, believe me I am on the receiving end of it. He left us, I raised my daughter by myself, I always pushed visitation, he wasn't really interested, cancelled most of the time, brought her back early etc. Now that she's a teen, he decided to keep her after a summer visit when she was almost 17. Told her she would never have to see me again at 18 and be under my "rules" And his campaign of hate against me has cost me my relationship with the daughter I raised by myself!! I thought my huband's ex is the only one doing this to the kids. Unfortunately , it seems like it's happening to more and more kids.
